INTERNATIONAL TEACHER EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
22nd April 2008 – Hitachi Europe Ltd. today announced that the 14th annual teacher exchange programme, HISTEP, organised by the company will take place from 30th April – 4th May 2008. HISTEP is a teacher exchange programme organised by Hitachi to promote communication and cultural understanding among North American, European and Japanese nations by means of a cross-cultural secondary school teachers' exchange and educational programme.

London-based Consultancy adds depth to Hitachi Consulting Financial Services Sector and Public Sector Practices.

Hitachi Consulting, the global business and IT consulting arm of Hitachi, Ltd today announced that it has acquired Impact Plus, a London-based business and IT consulting firm which specializes in serving the Public Sector and Financial Services Sector. Impact Plus counts among its clients three of the top five UK-based banks, as well as many leading Finance & Leasing, General Insurance, and Life & Pensions providers. In the government sector, Impact Plus’ clients include the largest government departments and agencies as well as the Cabinet Office, HM Treasury and the National Audit Office.

Hitachi establishes a company in the Czech Republic for flat-panel TV manufacturing plant
Hitachi, Ltd. today announced that it has decided to form a manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic to meet the expansion of demand for flat-panel TVs (plasma and LCD TVs) in Europe. A new company "Hitachi Home Electronics (Czech), s.r.o." will establish the plant in the Usti region of the Czech Republic. Initial production in the company will be expected in summer 2007.

25th May 2006 - Hitachi Europe Ltd. today announced that it is launching the second phase in its European brand campaign. The campaign is designed to communicate the message that Hitachi creates technology to improve lives. It uses different parts of Hitachi’s diverse businesses in Europe to illustrate the benefits of Hitachi’s products and services and how these contribute to people’s lives. Phase two includes extensive European TV, print media and online advertising that will run throughout May and June 2006, timed to coincide with a key sales period for both its consumer electronics and B2B businesses.
